LAC DU KM 35 GERMANIUM PROPERTY

The Project Overview

The Lac du Km 35 Property consists of 75 mineral claims covering approximately 4,150 hectares (41.5 km²) and is located about 40 kilometres east of Chibougamau, Québec.
  • Situated in the Nord-du-Québec region
  • Excellent access via Highway 167
  • Property is transected west–east by a main lumber road
  • Supported by a network of secondary access roads across the property

Geology & Mineralization

  • The Laganière Germanium Showing was discovered by government geologists in 1998
  • Mineralization occurs within a peridotite outcrop hosted by the Laganière Gneissic Complex
  • The Laganière Gneissic Complex is composed primarily of amphibolites, hornblende gneisses, and biotite gneisses.
  • Surface sampling returned 0.02% germanium (186 ppm), this represents the highest germanium value ever reported from an outcrop in Québec.
  • Immediately adjacent (to the south) to a cluster of untested electromagnetic anomalies
    • Anomalies cover an area of approximately 400 m x 400 m
  • Key regional geological features nearby:
    • 450 m northeast of the Faribault Shear Zone
    • 800 m from the southern margin of the Duberger felsic pluton
    • Approximately 2 km west of the Grenville Front
  • Apart from regional government mapping and sampling, the area remains largely underexplored

Exploration History

  • Recent exploration activities were conducted in 2024
  • Work program consisted of prospecting and surface sampling
